Friday, two days ago. Walked two and from school 2x's = 2 km
Saturday an adventure out with the family, and a walk around a lagoon. And then some = 1.5 km
Friday and Saturday km = 3.5 km
Sunday, today. I have been very active.
19.16 km run this morning, and I was out shooting an engagement session and we walked round for 2 hours. On the beach, on the sand. Up some stairs, along train tracks. 5 km of walking, so my total k's for Sunday is 24.16 km (19.6 + 5 km)

Yesterday I walked to school and back, 1 km. Then I ran last night (forgot my Garmin, however got data off of my friend Kevin (thank you Kevin! I have missed running with you so very much!) 6.39 km

I had decided I would run 18 km this morning. I have been training hard. I was ready! I have had no pain. I was more afraid of maybe feeling pain again. That awful pain that might take me out of running again. That has had me scared of trying anything more than my usual 13 km. That was my furthest distance in the last month or so. So, today I worked harder. To try to go the distance again. I am tired of feeling fearful of this. Letting fear hold me back from doing something that completes me. I see ALL sorts of body types out there running further, and faster than me. There are also those who run a lot slower than me. So, I believe this is all a matter of mind over matter. Not listening to those who say maybe you shouldn't. Maybe you should do less. Maybe the timing is not right.
So, as I said I decided today was the day this was going to change for me. I am READY. Today I more than proved this to myself. I ran over 19 km this morning. I ran with one of the 'turtles' from my marathon clinic. Jean. I LOVED the run today. Amazing weather, amazing friends. I did it, and not only did I do it. I did it WELL! Finishing strong, upright and a smile on my face. My salty face! (need better nutrition next week!)
So, here i go. I have made the decision to move forward, and to learn from my past mistakes and try out a different approach to running. And today, I did it! I haven't run an 18/19 km since my marathon training! This is HUGE progress. This is amazing! This is awesome.
I have missed these long runs. They make me feel like a runner! I have missed that feeling!

A lot slower run tonight. I helped take the group out, so I did a lot of slower running, and backtracking.

I have been walking back and forth to school, and tonight I ran.
Today, is Wednesday, and I walked yesterday and today. Monday was WET! So, I drove.
So, my walks = 3 km, +1 km today = 4 km + my run today 6.34 = 10.34 kms

I think it was the extra food I ate over the weekend. I think I am too hungry most of the time. So, I will see how it goes this week.

There were so many puddles, and the rain was just DOWNPOUR. Crazy wet run. During the run I could ring out my ponytail. When I got back, I could wring out my arms, and my top. And my hair again. Crazy prune feet.
I am thankful to Steve, who gave me his warm jacket, and bought me a latte at Starbucks. That, is the best part of running, enjoying the fun and talk with my running friends. We laugh. A LOT. I am happy to be a part of such a wonderful and supportive group! Love them all.

So, I did a run on my own today in the sunshine. It felt like Spring, and my water belt just fits again. I am very happy about that1

Feeling great on my runs these days! Tomorrow, I need to run an 8K on my own, as my parental units are giving us an opportunity to go hang out dt Vancouver to see the Olympic fever that has hit! I am so excited (and I will wear my Garmin to calculate my k's as we will be doing a lot of walking!)
Oh, and I jumped on the scale anyways this morning and I was only up .2 overall. So, that was good.

I am glad I went! Tomorrow, no running. I have an important shoot tomorrow, and a lot of other errands to do tomorrow.

I wouldn't have gone for a run tonight in the pouring rain and cold evening. However, this challenge *500 in 2010* is making me kick it into overdrive! Tomorrow I will run with my old group! I always like running with my old buds!

We run there, run our four hills, and then run back. I was tired on my fourth hill. Just like last week, I was tired on my third hill. Two more weeks of hill training! We go up to six hills for the 10K clinic.
I am feeling bloated, I guess my cycle is trying to make its way again. Yuck.
Oh well! I am just glad I can run again!

This #500in2010 is making me work a lot harder. I am motivated to move into the top ten again. I was there once I think, maybe 2 x's until I fell, and then fell again. And of course had that puke bug. So, I have had some obstacles to move around, and of course didn't get the k's/miles that I wanted. And, of course to see my parent units way up there in second place, makes the competitor in me come out. Yes, I like to compete. Mostly against myself. So, today I decide to RAMP up my GAME. I am not going to put my whole plan on here (because of spying eyes i.e. my parents LOL) so I actually sat down and devised a plan.
That is all I am going to say tonight. Physically I am feeling very strong. I am losing that dreaded extra weight and my runs have been going great. And, I am walking back and forth to school quite often. It all adds up. This I know.
So, there I go. A plan.
So, my exercise for today:
2 km walk back and forth to school
Extra run with husband chasing me on his bike (after I got home from run club) LOL
(and a good calorie burn today of over 1000! Woot. That helps offset the big old portion of splurge nachos yesterday!)
SO, my KM total for today is: 13.6 km or converted to miles: 8.5 miles #500in2010
Tomorrow we do our hill training, 4 hills and there are four weeks left until our goal race.

So, I thought get on that darn scale. I had a good week last week. I got out running 4x's.
So, weigh in today was 178.6
Down 2.2 from two weeks ago. That makes me happy, the scale is moving down.
Onto another week!

I feel I am getting back into shape (muscle memory!) and my body is changing again. I couldn't be happier. My size 12's are getting baggy. I am having my own boudoir session shot at the end of February, so good timing :D
So, for todays 10k. I LOVED the particular route! I haven't done it for quite some time! Nice.

Took a 5km group out for a run. We did the 'Super Fun Run' and it rocked. Ran it nice and 'slow' and encouraged who I could.

Monday: .5 miles
Tonight, should be hill training for me. Of course, I haven't run since my trip up on Thursday night. Swelling has gone down, but foot doesn't feel *just right* yet. I may try to lace up my runners and see what happens tonight.
My feeling is that I have missed now some bigger runs that I may not be able to keep up. Sunday will be a 10K run. I am not even sure I am able.
SO. I am left with unanswered questions. So frustrating. Oh well, I am prepping as if I am going to kick ass on the three hills. Being positive here.

This is due to mega flu/puke bug hitting our house hard this week, and of course my foot injury.
I am a bit discouraged. OK, VERY discouraged. No exercise, and making a couple of bad choices.

This morning I am feeling a bit better. Not a whole lot of energy, and sad that I couldn't run. But before I started feeling sick, I actually did my morning video.
I think at the end of the six weeks, I will do one EXTRA week to make up for the missed exercise sessions.
Had 4 glasses of water, and now a bowl of oatmeal and blueberries. I also walked to school. #500in2010 - 1km or .5 mile. I am hoping I can run tonight!? I will play that thought out later.
